NEW EVENT!!! – JULY 4 FLAG EVENT
We are trying something new this year! Celebrating the USA’s 250th Birthday, we are going to have a Flag Event at MountainView. What is that, you ask? We’ll give you a flag with your name on it and your total stroke (Par + Handicap); when you finish that many strokes, you put your flag in the ground. If you finish 18 Holes and still have strokes to use, you keep playing! The players who play the longest win a Credit Book! Entry Fee is just $5, and you can sign up under the Flag Event on ForeTees.

Also, if you head to the MountainView Bar and Grill, they are offering $2.50 Coors Light Drafts and 10% off your entrée if you show them your scorecard for the day!

A Fun day of Golf with Beer and Food Discounts at MVBG!!

FORWARD TEE PROJECT The Forward Tee Project has been COMPLETED! The contractors were off property last week. Now, we are beginning our agronomic plan to help prepare these tees for play.
1 – Watering to help knit the turf together.
2 – Fertilize to assist in the turf health and growth.
3 – Topdress to help create a healthy soil below the tees.
4 – Mow – get the tees ready for play!

We are still on track to have the tees ready for play at the end of July!

The Bunker on #10, or the area that was the bunker, has been regrassed! However, it is NOT ready to be played on. We have deemed this area a NO PLAY ZONE! If your ball finishes in this area (it is marked with white paint), please CAREFULLY walk in the area, pick up your ball, and then you can drop it in the fairway – one club length from the white line – no closer to the hole. This will probably remain in place for the next 6-8 weeks.

AERIFICATION DATES

MountainView will be closed June 15 – June 26
The Preserve will be closed for OVERSEED September 15 – October 4
MountainView will be closed for OVERSEED October 5 – October 25

COURSE CARE – 2026

We’ve seen great improvement on practice tee patterns and divots being filled, but we still need your help with repairing ball marks!

The purpose of divot sand seems obvious. It’s a certain type of sand that’s used to repair those chunks of grass that are removed by the swing of a golf club. This is an ever-present fact of golf course maintenance, often enough to call for a special type of sand used to repair it. But divot sand isn’t just regular sand; it’s a specifically formulated sand to improve future repair of divots.
During overseeding, divot sand is mixed with grass seed and sometimes dyed green or left with its natural sand color. The reason golf courses use sand is that the divot can be repaired quickly. It’s dyed green primarily for aesthetic reasons. No one wants to play golf on a course that looks like one big bunker. Regardless of color, divot sand creates a uniform look that evens out the course and maintains its proper greenness and playability.
Obviously, just sand by itself cannot hold a course together forever, and eventually the grass will need to grow back. The seed mixed in with the divot sand allows for a faster regrowth of the grass that has been chucked out of the ground. The sand acts as a medium that retains the proper amount of nutrients and water to foster growth.
During the overseed months, we want you to fill divots IN THE FAIRWAY ONLY, as the divot mix has Rye overseed, something we are trying to keep out of the rough. When filling the divot, you’ll want enough sand to fill the entire length of the divot and just below the surface of the turf around it. Give the sand one good step, and you are ready to go. We have sandboxes throughout both courses where you can refill your sand bottles.

  • BOOKING STARTING TIMES
Just a reminder about booking starting times. Annual Passholders, Seasonal Passholders, and Afternoon Unlimited Passholders can request lottery times up to 30 days in advance. There must be at least an equal number of Annual passholders than non-passholders to have your request processed. This includes when you are having guests!
All other players may book starting times up to 10 days (available starting at 700am) in advance of the day you want to play.
  • 9 Hole Policy Reminder
    • Thank you for your support as we have worked through the ForeTees booking changes this year. Change is hard for all of us, but we appreciate your patience as we worked together through these changes. Just as a reminder, we are allowing 9 Hole bookings (prior to 2:00pm) to be booked 72 hours in advance – or 3 days. We feel that this will help you plan your schedule better and allows us to manage each day just a little bit better.

For example, if you saw a 1:08pm Tee Time at MountainView open and wanted to play Nine Holes – previously, you’d have to wait until Thursday morning to book that time. Now, you’ll be able to book that on Tuesday Morning!

This has been an exciting improvement to the booking opportunities and get more players on both golf courses!
  • ANNUAL PASSHOLDERS – TROON ADVANTAGE IS AVAILABLE TO YOU!!
    • Annual Passholders, you can enjoy preferred rates and access to amenities at over 150 resort and daily fee facilities worldwide through the Troon Advantage Program. Please email Mike Karpe at [email protected] for your Troon Advantage website access!!

    • Golf attire is required at both courses. Please remember golf attire is required to utilize both golf courses and the practice facilities. A good guide is if you see a PGA TOUR or LPGA TOUR player wearing it, you can wear it on the HOA2 courses. Although your denim might look great, its not allowed on any of the practice areas or courses. If you aren’t sure, ask anyone in the Golf Shop, we’ll be happy to help!
  • PRACTICE RANGE CLEAN PICKS
    • To give you the best experience of our Practice Facilities, we perform a Clean Pick on Sundays & Thursdays. This means that we have to close the practice tees at 4:00pm!
Monday & Friday mornings – Practice Facilities will NOT be open until mowing and sanding is completed. This may mean tee times will begin before the Practice Facilities are officially open. We apologize for the inconvenience in advance & appreciate your support in giving our maintenance team time to prepare Practice Facilities for YOU!
Also, on Thursday mornings after the MPMGA Shotguns, the Golf Course Maintenance Team will be sanding/seeding the practice tee for about 90 minutes.
