Shannon Treybig has spent 25 years in the fitness industry and dedicated her life to helping people live healthier lives. Shannon graduated with a B.S. in Exercise & Sport Science from Penn State University, then went on to manage two corporate fitness centers for Becton, Dickinson & Company at its worldwide headquarters in New Jersey. After moving to Seattle in 2006, Shannon started her own business; ACHIEVE Personal Training & Multisport Coaching. Her clients range in age from 7 to 97 years young! Shannon also organizes hiking/yoga retreats and triathlon camps throughout the western part of the U.S., from Hawaii to Canada to Tucson.
Shannon specializes in functional movement, rehab, sports-specific conditioning, exercise class instruction, nutrition, and sports psychology. She is certified by the American Council on Exercise as a Personal Trainer, by USA Triathlon as a Coach, by the Road Runners Club of America as a Running Coach, and by Johnny G as a Spinning® Instructor. She has written articles for Runner's World, Xtri.com, Peak Running Performance, and Fitness Magazine. She also volunteers her time and services to Cycle the WAVE, an all female cycling event to raise money in the fight against domestic violence.
With a passion for endurance triathlons, Shannon has qualified for the Hawaii Ironman World Championships three times and completed 13 Ironman races across the U.S.. For her 40th birthday, she completed her 40th marathon and is now working towards 50 by 50. Shannon practices what she preaches - goal setting, perseverance, optimism and unfaltering commitment.
